Moorprod Seller — Privacy Policy

Moorprod Seller is a Chrome extension that helps resellers calculate fees, profit and ROI for Walmart, Amazon and eBay, and find where a product can be bought for less. This page explains what data the extension uses, where it is stored, and what is sent to us.

Data stored on your computer only

The following stays in Chrome’s local storage on your computer. We never receive it:

  • Your settings (language, fees, targets).
  • Products you save to your list, the prices you enter, and the price history of products you visit or track.
  • Inventory and sales records you add in the inventory tracker (products, quantities, costs, sale prices, fees).
  • Expenses and receipt photos you add in the expense tracker.
  • Product details (name, price, UPC, images) read from the product pages you open, used to calculate your results.

Removing the extension from Chrome deletes this data.

Data sent to moorprod.io

To unlock the Pro or Business plan, the extension sends your license key to moorprod.io about every 12 hours. Our server answers with your plan and subscription status. Your IP address is used, in hashed form and for one hour, to block abuse. We do not receive your browsing history or the products you look at.

Connecting your eBay seller account (optional)

On the Pro and Business plans you can connect your eBay seller account so your sales are added to your inventory automatically. You sign in on eBay itself and give Moorprod read-only access to your orders and your eBay user ID; we never see your eBay password and we cannot list, change or cancel anything. moorprod.io keeps only your eBay connection token (encrypted), your eBay user ID and username, and the date of the last sync, linked to your license key. When your extension asks for new sales, moorprod.io reads your recent orders from eBay and passes only the date, order number, item title, SKU, quantity, sale amount and eBay fees to your browser. Buyer names, addresses and messages are never sent to your browser or stored. Click “Disconnect” in the extension, or remove Moorprod in your eBay account settings, and we delete the connection. If you close your eBay account, eBay tells us and we delete it too.

Store health reports

Stores sometimes change their pages, which can stop the panel from reading a product. To fix this quickly, the extension tells moorprod.io the store’s domain name (for example target.com), which field it could not read (price or name) and the extension version. It never sends the page address, the product, your license key or anything about you. You can turn this off in Settings (“Tell Moorprod when a store changes its page”).

Payments

Subscriptions are paid on Stripe. Stripe collects your card details; we never see or store your card number. We receive your email address and your Stripe customer and subscription IDs so we can link your license key to your subscription and help you if you lose it. You can manage or cancel your subscription in the customer portal.

Requests to stores

To compare prices, the extension loads public search and product pages from walmart.com and ebay.com, and reads the store pages you open (for example Target or Best Buy). These requests go directly from your browser to those sites, with your browser’s own cookies, and are covered by those sites’ privacy policies. The extension does not buy, list or sell anything for you, and it does not load data from Amazon automatically.

Affiliate links

Some “where to buy” links in the extension and in Moorprod Scan may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the store may pay MOORPROD LLC a small commission, at no extra cost to you. These links are only used when you click them, and they are marked in the app. The affiliate settings come from moorprod.io once a day; nothing about you or your browsing is sent to get them.

Moorprod Scan (moorprod.io/scan)

When you scan a barcode, the barcode number (and your license key, if you added one) is sent to moorprod.io to look up the product and to count free scans. Your scan history stays in your phone’s browser. Product information comes from public databases such as UPCitemdb and Open Food Facts.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or share your data.
  • We do not show ads or use tracking or analytics in the extension.
  • We do not use your data for anything other than the features described above.
  • We do not run code downloaded from the internet: all of the extension’s code ships in the package reviewed by the Chrome Web Store.

Your choices

You can remove your license key in the extension (icon → License → Remove key) and uninstall the extension at any time. To delete the license record we keep on moorprod.io, contact us with the email you used to subscribe.

Children

Moorprod Seller is a business tool and is not intended for children under 13.
